Cooperation & enforcement

Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) work together to monitor compliance with the GDPR, including through the cooperation mechanism for cross-border cases. They can impose corrective measures (such as orders or administrative fines) on organisations that fail to comply.
The EDPB issues opinions and binding decisions within the consistency mechanism and generally supports the efficient enforcement of the GDPR, by connecting all DPAs, combining expertise and promoting enhanced coordination.
