Codes of conduct

Adherence to an approved code of conduct helps organisations comply with the GDPR. These codes, created by business associations,  outline steps to follow GDPR obligations. They are approved by data protection authorities and codes of conduct relating to processing activities in several countries are subject to opinions of the EDPB. In certain cases, codes of conduct can also provide appropriate safeguards when transferring data to third countries or international organisations.
