Δικαίωμα στην ιδιωτική ζωή στον ψηφιακό κόσμο
Στην ψηφιακή εποχή μας, όπου οι πληροφορίες κοινοποιούνται, συλλέγονται και υποβάλλονται σε επεξεργασία συνεχώς, απαιτούνται σαφείς και ισχυροί κανόνες προστασίας δεδομένων. Οι εν λόγω κανόνες εξασφαλίζουν ότι τα φυσικά πρόσωπα διατηρούν τον έλεγχο των δεδομένων τους, και εγγυώνται την προσωπική τους ελευθερία, την αυτονομία και την ελευθερία έκφρασης. Οι κανόνες προστασίας των δεδομένων είναι επίσης ζωτικής σημασίας για την πρόληψη της αθέμιτης χρήσης, της μη εξουσιοδοτημένης πρόσβασης, της κλοπής ταυτότητας και της χειραγώγησης. Οι ισχυρές εγγυήσεις προστασίας των δεδομένων δημιουργούν εμπιστοσύνη στις επιγραμμικές υπηρεσίες.
