Biometrics

Fingerprints, facial and voice recognition, are being used more and more to identify or authenticate individuals. These technologies rely on biometric data, which are sensitive and unique to each person, and they entail significant risks, including the potential for bias and discrimination.
The EDPB provides guidance to help organisations process biometric data responsibly and in line with EU data protection laws.
