Data protection officer

A Data Protection Officer (DPO) advises on data protection compliance within an organisation. In certain cases, appointing a DPO is mandatory. The DPO operates independently and is involved in all issues relating to the protection of personal data, acting as a point of contact for data protection authorities and individuals.
