The Data Wizards – data protection videos for children

Pixi Videos: Learning about data protection through stories

Based on the German Pixi Wissen books, the videos bring topics such as privacy, personal data, and information rights to life through engaging stories. Videos such as That’s private! and But why?! help children understand why personal information should be protected and what rights they have.

The platform also features videos based on What is data protection? and What is freedom of information? The resources are particularly suitable for young children and primary school pupils and can be used by parents and educators to introduce digital rights and responsible media use. The videos are available in German and English.

The Pixi books the videos are based on can also be ordered free of charge from the BfDI, providing children and educators with a printed resource to explore these topics further. They are available only in Germany.
