TEO

The Days of Ethical Orientation - Protect Privacy (TEO PP) help children become aware of how to deal with media in the digital age, prepare them for possible dangers on the internet and let’s them reflect on their online behaviour.

Take action! Encourage your school to participate in TEO and help students make informed decisions about their online behavior and privacy.

TEO, which stands for "Days of Ethical Orientation" in German, is a programme offered by both Protestant and Catholic churches for all students, regardless of their religious background, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The "Protect Privacy" event spans four days, primarily aimed at students in grades 5 and 6. The goal is to help students understand the pros and cons of using social media in their daily lives.

Through workshops and collaborations with organizations like the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection, University of Greifswald, and the State Coordination Office for Addiction Prevention, students explore topics such as data protection, addiction, and how social media affects their view of society. The program encourages students to reflect on their behaviour online and their responsibilities toward themselves and others.
