Medienguides MV – training parents to promote safe and responsible media use
Become a Medienguide and help others keep their data safe
The goal of the Mediaguide MV project is to help parents understand and use media tools in a self-determined, critical, and safe way, while having fun exploring media creatively with their children. Trained Mediaguides teach family members, friends, and other parents in schools, daycare centers, and after-school care facilities about essential skills like data protection and safe media use. To become a Mediaguide, parents participate in a two-day training course. This includes workshops on data protection, personal rights, cybersecurity, cyberbullying, media addiction, and online advertising. Parents also receive training on how to share their knowledge with others. Additional resources and networks are available through an app, helping Mediaguides to share their knowledge by organizing project days or leading parents' evenings.
